Cork and metal plug. 4) 8" Model 1858 bullseye US regulation canteen with painted battle scene of soldier helping wounded man with his canteen. Linen sling with Japanned buckle, orig stopper still tied in place. 5) 8" Civil War canteen converted for Spanish American era use, with 1904 dated Rock Island Arsenal strap, canvas cover with "U.S." stamped.
