EXCEEDINGLY ATTRACTIVE TABLE LAMP WITH DETACHABLE MINIATURE NON-FIRING THOMPSON MACHINE GUNS.

Exquisite in every detail right down to the lettering on the guns. This lamp incorporates the three popular Thompson machine gun models in miniature and rotates so that one can observe each model closely without picking up the lamp or removing the miniatures from their emplacements. Each miniature is held in place with a brass and wood pin which fits into the muzzle of each. Miniature #1 is a Colt Model 1921A Thompson with a stick magazine, 7" bbl with a 3" horizontal forend and an overall length of 16-1/2". Miniature #2 is a Colt Model 1928A1 with a stick magazine, 5-3/4" bbl with a 3-3/8" horizontal forend and an overall length of 16". Miniature #3 is a Colt Model 1921AC with vertical forend and drum magazine, 6-1/2" bbl with compensator and an overall length of 16-3/4". Each of these miniatures may be detached by withdrawing the brass pin holding them in place. Dummy cartridges hold up the oak lamp base with a brass central shaft. Lamp stands 34" high, base is 15" across, shade is 18-1/4" at its widest point. SIZE: PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Overall appearance is very fine with some occasional handling marks to the wood of the miniatures with some slight green blemish to the base of the central brass lamp post socket and some scattered pin-prick oxidation on the metal parts of the miniatures. Shade is in very fine condition overall. The screw on cap which retains the shade is not present. A really neat item for the advanced Thompson enthusiast or for someone who wants a great conversation piece. 53094-203 JWK (3,000-5,000)
