WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 SADDLE RING CARBINE.WINCHESTER189540063830-40 KRAGMODERN; C&RCal. .30-40 Krag. 22" rnd bbl, blue finish, saddle ring attached, straight grained American walnut stocks, with hand guard and carbine butt. CONDITION: Fine as refinished. Bbl shows 50% blue that is turning a pleasing plum/brown. Sights are very good. Bbl band shows nearly all the blue finish. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains 90% blue finish, as does the hammer and lever. Receiver marking is sharp and clear. Tang marking is sharp and clear. Stocks are very good, full sized, and show only small handling marks overall. A nice example of a Winchester '95 carbine in 30 Krag cal that was very popular with Texas Rangers in the early 20th century. 53083-1 TEP (2,500-3,000)
