DANDY PARKER DH GRADE 16 GAUGE SHOTGUN. PARKER DH 124793 16 GA MODERN; C&R Cal. 16 ga. 25-15/16" (orig length) Damascus bbls. 2-1/2" chambers. #1 frame. Choke mod/full. Full length matted top rib with white plastic mid and front beads. Usual rib inscription. Double triggers, extractors, auto safety. Straight grip buttstock checkered in 3-point pattern with tear drop behind action. 13-7/8" LOP over orig Parker skeleton butt. Silver oval near toe engraved "1904" in fancy pattern. Splinter forearm checkered in standard DH pattern with Deeley release and steel tip. Receiver is nicely engraved in typical early D grade pattern with setter on right, pointer on left surrounded by flowing scroll engraving. All visible SNs match. Bore diameter: left - .670, right – .667. Bore restrictions: left – .032 (full), right – .014 (mod). Wall thickness: left – .020, right – .021. Drop at heel: 2-1/2", drop at comb: 1-1/2". Weight: 6 lbs 15 oz. PROVENANCE: Daryl Middlebrook Collection. CONDITION: Very good. BBls retain more than 90% orig Damascus pattern starting to thin on left tube near grip area and breech end. Receiver has gone gray as has long tang trigger guard although engraving is still crisp. Buttstock and forearm are very good, checkering has lightly thinned and stocks retain most of what is likely a factory restored finish with only minor handling marks. Mechanics are crisp. Bores are bright and shiny with very minor beginning erosion. According to the Parker story this is one of 60 made with original 26" bbls. 53098-23 JSL (2,500-3,750)
