Lot contains: A) World War II officer's wool short overcoat with wool-border 36th Division patch and bullion major's rank insignia. CONDITION: Excellent. B) WWII USMC enlisted uniform, the jacket with 1st Division patch, Sergeant's chevrons, ribbon bar, Marine basic badge and wool fourragère. Includes a pair of WWII USMC wool trousers. CONDITION: Uniform shows a few scattered holes but nothing distracting. C) U.S. Navy M-445A heavy fleece lined flight jacket. CONDITION: Rips in both shoulders. D) WWII officer's uniform jacket with 78th Division patch, sterling CIB, ribbon bars. Collar and Captain's rank insignia. CONDITION: Very good condition. CIB has one clutch bar broken off. E) WWII USAAF enlisted uniform jacket with felt Air Force and British-made felt 8th Air Force patches, Sergeant’s chevrons, sterling shirt-size aerial gunner's wing, ribbon bars, and unnamed slot brooch Air Medal. CONDITION: Very good condition. F) WWI U.S. Air Service wool jacket with "US" and Air Service collar insignia, Sergeant’s chevron with bullion wing/propeller, two bullion overseas chevrons, U.S. Air Service rating certificate holder, dog tag named to "George E. Black" and mess kit extensively engraved with: "George E. Black" , wing/propeller, individuals names, "12th Squad", "825th Aero", crossed flags and French town names. Included is a copy of Black's discharge, copies of photographs and an original roster of the 825th Aero Squadron. CONDITION: Jacket shows minor service wear. From the Ray Bentley collection.
