Lot contains: A) British Army baton/mace head measuring 8-1/4" high, brass with silver overlay. A ribbon on its side reads "Royal West Kent/ The Queens Own Regiment", missing the regimental crest beneath. Opposite side displays the crest of George V, crown finial with silver ribbons listing battle honors. B) British Royal Marines baton/mace measuring 65" overall with a 12-1/2" silver plated top representing the globe surmounted with a nickel plated crown/lion finial. Top displays "ER/ Anchor" cypher, over the motto "Gibraltar Per Mare Per Terram". Upper ring maker marked "Potts London", and the chains crossing the wood shaft are missing a connecting ring. C) British Bengal Infantry baton/mace measuring 60-1/2" overall with a 7" top missing its finial. Silver plated head engraved "Bengal Infantry" above a ribbon on which is engraved "Bhurtpore Afghanistan 79,80". Wood shaft crossed with faded red wool cords. D) French baton/mace measuring 66" overall with an 11-1/2" brass top encircled with crowns and eagles, spread wing eagle finial. Wood shaft with crossed brass chains. E) Generic baton measuring 38" overall with chrome plated fittings and wood shaft. CONDITION: All are in very good condition. From the Ray Bentley collection.
