Lot contains: A) Pressed black fur felt body with a polished black leather band around the lower edge of the helmet and leather chin strap. Brass Indian Scout crossed arrow side buttons, plume holder, and cavalry eagle front plate with German silver crossed arrows, red and white plume. Tan leather sweatband with W. H. Horstmann contract stamp dated 1899. Excellent condition. B) Pressed black fur felt body with a polished black leather band around the lower edge of the helmet. Brass Indian Scout crossed arrow side buttons, plume holder, and cavalry eagle front plate with German silver crossed arrows, there are extra holes in the front of the eagle plate. Red and white plume with complete red and white cords. Tan leather sweatband with W. H. Horstmann 1897 contract stamp. Excellent condition. From the Ray Bentley collection.
