It is estimated that only 100 20 gauge BHE Reproductions were made by Winchester, very few with two sets of barrels. This particular example has 26" and 28" barrels, all correctly serial numbered and marked. 26" Barrels are choked IC and mod, and 28" barrels are choked Mod and Full. There are 2-1/4" triangles of scroll engraving at breech ends. Case hardened 0 frame features automatic safety and unusual double triggers, and is filed in traditional "B" manner, with chevron on top lever and single bead around fences. Action is also engraved in "B" style with near full coverage small scroll within geometric borders surrounding ovate scenes of birds; quail on left, and grouse on right, over "PARKER BROS". A woodcock in flight is on trigger plate. Blued and scroll engraved trigger guard has serial number on tang. Truly spectacular fine feather crotch and fiddle figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 3/4" over skeleton steel buttplate. Sunken side panels are checkered and terminate in fleur-di-lis drop points. Well cut fancy pattern checkering wraps around grip. A large vacant gold oval is on toe line. Matching splinter ejector forend with typical Parker release, services both barrel sets. Gun is housed in good quality tan leather case with stitched leather corners by Emmebi, lined in light green felt. A Parker Reproduction label is in lid. Case contains a pair of snap caps, Parker Reproduction catalog, and two keys. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new, appears unfired since proof, with only a few exceptionally minor handling and assembly marks in all surfaces. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent, with some minor scuffs in leather and rubs in felt. An exceptionally rare, very attractive investment quality Parker Reproduction. MGM 5
