27 - 3/4" Shoe lump barrels are fitted with slightly raised, matted rib. Steel type and makers name are engraved on tops. Engine turned barrel flats are stamped with 1941 Italian nitro proofs for 2 - 3/4" chambers. Coin finished sidelock action features non-automatic safety, square crossbolt third fastener, side clips, and double triggers. Action is engraved with 80% coverage rose bouquets and scroll, fences are relief carved. Streaked and lightly figured European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 14 - 1/8" over ribbed composition buttplate, embossed with Bernardelli logo. Stock features flush lozenge shaped drop points and point pattern checkering at grip. A vacant silver shield is at rear of toe line. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. CONDITION: Very fine, as partially refinished. Barrels retain approximately 70% original blue, thin from normal hand wear on sides. Action retains nearly all of its original coin finish with some darker speckles. Stocks retain nearly all of an old oil refinish over numerous marks and some stains. Checkering partially filled with finish. Bores are excellent, appear to be back bored with reamer ring approximately 12" from breech ends of both barrels. Action is tight. Ejectors are in time. An interesting war time production Italian shotgun. MGM20
