Only number that can be found on this gun is a "5" on the cylinder and inside frame. This is an early open top scoop flute. Caliber not marked on frame which would indicate .44 Merwin Hulbert caliber. Neither .44 Russian nor .44-40 will fit. Early humpback hammer. New York barrel address on top. CONDITION: Factory nickel finish remains at approximately 80% and looks to be early period reapplied finish. Grips are poor fitting replicas and need replacing. Replaced barrel release. Several marred screws. Strong rifled bore. Indexes but cylinder does not lock into place. With a little attention this could be a nice, early revolver.
