JM Young, Camden, New York. Arts & Crafts Morris Chair, Model No. 471, in quartersawn oak with original drop-in spring cushion seat and back cushion, both with beautifully replaced leather. Adjustable back bar appears to be original to the chair. Original finish under old reddish overcoat. Great honest wear to arms. Excellent pinned, mortise and tenon construction with 5 slats and 2 corbels under each arm. Signed with "J.M. Young & Sons" white rectangular paper label. Some scratches, marks and wear consistent with age and use.
