1810 production of 1795 model Springfield musket. Original barrel with US and eagle head proof stamp at breech. Reproduction lockplate marked US in script with arched Springfield logo and spread eagle, with 1810 date. Original hardware with buttplate dated 1810. Original sling swivels and ramrod. Original walnut stock. Gun appears to be heavily restored. CONDITION: Barrel is original length with replaced tang screw and polished to an in the white finish. Replaced lock cleaned to match rest of heavily polished hardware. Bore is poor and pitted. Wood has been heavily sanded and has a wrist repair, which is solid, but poorly done. Mechanically sound and functions.
