This early Model 39 was introduced in 1955 with an eight shot single stack magazine. This early example has the steel frame and slide, double action. The steel frames were generally not completed until 1966 when 927 were assembled. Features beautiful scroll engraving on both sides of slide and frame, varnished silver medallion walnut grips. Comes with one magazine. CONDITION: Near new inside and out. We have no factory letter on the engraving. CORRECTION: We have confirmed with Smith & Wesson that this is not a factory engraved Model 39 pistol.
