Lot contains: (A) Prewar Luftwaffe NCO service tunic, and (B) Prewar Luftwaffe belt and buckle. (A) Luftwaffe Tuchrock to a NCO in one of the two Flak Battalions of the Regiment General Goering, in overall near mint condition. The Regiment General Goering was transferred from the police to the Luftwaffe in September of 1935, when General Goering was promoted to command the Luftwaffe. In 1936 the regiment was assigned to provide Flak protection for Hitler's headquarters. The wool tunic was issued and worn, and does not have any noticeable damage, other than some light wear to the ends of the cuffs. The collar has white piping applied by hand, NCO tress correctly machine sewn, and red piped white collar tabs also correctly machine sewn. It is unknown as to when the collar tab rank gulls have been added, as they seem to be placed oddly but may represent a junior NCO (Oberjaeger) who was promoted to Unteroffizer at some point. The wool on the white piped shoulder boards matches the tunic, but it is unknown whether the junior NCO shoulder boards have been replaced at some point, as the inside shoulder seams have been opened and resewn by hand. The early droop tail eagle is correctly era hand applied over the right upper pocket. A very nice hand embroidered NCO RGG cufftitle is present on the right sleeve, and is hand applied with threads visible on the inside the the sleeve. All eight of the tunic and pocket buttons have the same maker, and the two shoulder board buttons are smaller but matching, with one being detached but present. Two era applied badge loops are present on the left upper pocket. The tunic is ink marked on the left inside with size markers, and the marking of the famous Berlin firm of "Karl Heisler". The tunic also bears the stamping of "LBA35", which represents an issue date of 1935. A Luftwaffe dogtag is present inside the left upper pocket, and is translated as the "5th Company of the Replacement and Training Battalion of Regiment Hermann Goering". (B) Early Luftwaffe droop tail buckle in overall excellent condition. Leather tab is maker marked and dated 1937, with both a Luftwaffe unit and LBA stamp. Early "rough side out" leather belt is in size 90, and marked to a Heer unit in 1939. It is in very good condition. An early RGG tunic is a very desirable item, and the correct RGG unit marked visor cap is being offered in another lot.
