Lot contains: (A) Heer Transportation Officer Waffenrock tunic, (B) Transportation Officer Visor cap, (C) pair of matching Transportation trousers, and (D) pair of Officer Boots. (A) Prewar Oberleutnant (1st Lieutenant) dress tunic in overall near mint condition. These Waffenrocks were worn until 1940 and were generally stored at home during the war. This fine quality tailor made doeskin wool tunic is near mint, with no visible damage. Collar is green wool with cornflower blue wool piping for the Transportation branch. The collar tabs are light blue backed with bullion Litzen, but appear to have been replaced. They are hand sewn and there is an old stitch line under the collar. The collar is hand sewn to the tunic and there is a 1" area where the thread is loose, underneath on the left side. The sewn in shoulder boards are silver bullion with light blue piping and one gold rank pip, for the rank of Oberleutnant. A green wool backed bullion eagle is hand applied to the right breast. Sleeve cuffs are green wool with blue piping and blue backed silver bullion Litzen. All the buttons on the tunic are matching and era sewn. There are two era sewn ribbon bar loops above the left breast. Tunic has a Hannover tailor label on the left inside, and appears to be in a small to medium size, with full rayon lining, dagger hanger slot, and an inner belt. An officer aiguillette is present on the right side. (B) An early Officer cornflower blue piped field visor cap in overall near mint condition. Field gray tricot wool is near mint, with two nips to the wool on top, and light blue wool piping denoting the transportation branch. Officer bullion chinstrap with era applied silver plated brass wreath and aluminum cockade. Aluminum eagle appears to be a replacement, as two old prong holes are visible inside. Band is in dark green wool. Inside sweat shield is intact with a Schellenberg maker mark and a paper size tag in 59. Leather sweatband is intact and is undamaged. Lining is undamaged and near mint. (C) Unmarked Waffenrock straight leg tricot wool trousers sized (about a 33" waist and 39" length). Trousers are excellent to near mint, and have the Transportation branch light blue wool piping, with boots straps. Trousers retains all 16 era applied plastic buttons. The lining is rayon with cotton pockets. (D) Pair of black leather jack boots in overall excellent condition. Boots are 16" tall in about a size 10. Each boots has an adjustment tab and buckle at the top with inside pull straps.
