According to the factory letter, this rifle was shipped on August 14th, 1905 with 20" octagon barrel in .32 caliber with plain trigger, plain pistol grip stock, rubber shotgun butt, takedown, screw eyes, and Lyman front, rear and tang sights. Everything stated in letter is correct except the three sights on rifle are not marked Lyman. Also not mentioned is the full length magazine. This rifle still has five special order features, not the least of which is the 20" barrel. CONDITION: Barrel has sharp edges and legends and is a pleasing mix of 50% blue blending with patina. Tube has approximately 80% original blue with the exception of a 1" area from the magazine being taken apart and the cap is brown patina. Frame has approximately 10-15% blue on both sides, balance is a gun metal grey. Traces of case colors on hammer but lever has darkened. Wood is excellent, proud to metal with Winchester black composite buttplate and pistol grip cap. Wood has usual small bumps and bruises. Pronounced rifling, albeit frosted grooves and some wear to edges. A wonderful little short rifle that was used but well cared for, loaded with special features.
