Great old black powder cowboy gun with all matching numbers. Barrel and cylinder not numbered. Proper sharp two line barrel address and two line patent date on screw-in frame. Excellent pair of real Mother of Pearl grips. Right panel is carved with the Mexican eagle and snake. The grips alone are worth $1,500. CONDITION: Entire gun is basically devoid of finish and is a soft patina. Has all four Colt clicks and indexes properly. Well defined rifling with frosted grooves; no abrasion. Factory letter states serial number 158834 was part of a 20 gun shipment, shipped on October 6th, 1894 to one of the largest distributors in the Midwest; Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. of Chicago as a standard blue, 4-3/4" .45 caliber with stocks not listed, which would indicate dealer applied pearl.
