Barrel is dated November of 1910 and has the Springfield Armory flaming bomb. A fine, all original, untouched example of a very early 1903. Original factory high polish blue finish with straight bolt. Single stock reinforcing bolt. Has the early fine checkered trapdoor buttplate. All milled parts. CONDITION: Frame retains approximately 85% of original blue. Barrel retains approximately 70% original blue. 60% original blue on forend cap. 70% original high polish blue on trigger guard. 30% on floorplate, mixing with patina. Bottom of stock has the early cursive "P" cartouche. Left side stock cartouche not visible. Rear sight has an unusual PJ O'Hare sight cover. TE reading: 1. ME reading: .5, indicating an excellent barrel. Rear barrel band still retains approximately 75% original high polish blue. Front collar retains nearly all of its original finish.
