Late 16th to early 17th century, formed of one piece. This high skull has classic Italian peak, a brim with rolled edge and interior rough from the hammer. Brass rosettes, possibly renewed. CONDITION: This helmet is in very fine original condition throughout with original plum holder and no serious rust or damage, only extremely minor de-lamination, and one small dent at front. Interior with old leather lining, possibly the original. A fine early piece of armor, becoming increasingly rare.
