Very fine ensemble of the high quality Walther manufactured MPK machine gun with spare MPL upper assembly with spare mainspring and mainspring guide. Also included are two original canvas carriers, black leather magazine 3-cell pouch, and four original 30 round magazines. Marked with Walther banner logo on left side of lower receiver and typical German selector markings of, “S”, “D” and “E” (Safe, Full, and Semi-Auto to us here in America), this machine gun has a folding steel shoulder loop covered in hard gray enamel paint, hard brown composite grips, and ambidextrous selector. The “K” in MPK indicates “Kurz” or “Short” in German, and is their designation for the short-barreled model. This word, “Kurz” is on the left side of the upper assembly currently on the gun. The “L” model indicating “Lange” or “Long” indicates the 10 3/8” long-barreled model. Neither upper assembly serial number matches the lower “registered” receiver of this machine gun. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish of all metal assemblies and magazine is near excellent original dull gray finish. Both bores are extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt faces are also extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. Canvas carriers show some wear and 1 has a 1” tear at back seam and the other a 4 ½” tear at back seam. Glossy black leather pouch is near excellent. These Walther machine guns are very well made, run well, and are popular tactical and recreational machine guns. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS TRANSFERABLE AS A PRE-86 DEALER SAMPLE TO ACTIVE CURRENT FFL/SOT DEALERS ON AN ATF FORM 3 ONLY.
