This fast handling little rifle is equipped with 21 - 5/8" shoe lump barrels with full length matted rib, partially cut away forming quarter rib holding claw scope bases and three dot U-notch rear sight. Front ramp holds red sourdough bead. Factory markings are on breech ends. Barrel flats are stamped with German nitro proofs for 9.3 x 74R. Extra 28" 28 gauge shotgun barrels with matted swamped game rib have matching proofs. Case hardened scallop backed boxlock small action features non-automatic safety, Greener crossbolt third fastener, and single non-selective trigger. Action is "engraved" with sprays of scroll. Well streaked European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14 - 5/8" over black leather covered pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Rifle is fitted with sling loops. Each barrel set has its own dedicated ejector forend. Rifle barrels have a slim beavertail type, shotgun have a splinter. Leupold European 30mm scope with crosshair and dot reticle is in claw rings. Rifle and extra barrels are housed in aluminum Americase lined in burgundy velvet. "MERKEL" is embossed in gold in lid. Also included are RCBS reloading dies for 9.3 x 74R, and over 350 bullets (.366 diameter), along with two boxes RWS loaded cartridges in red and black boxes, two boxes of older RWS cartridges, two plastic boxes of more RWS ammo, with a box of Norma brass loaded with A-Square monolithic solids. CONDITION: Excellent, appears little used, with only a few very minor handling marks in all wood and metal surfaces. Mechanically excellent. Scope is excellent. Case is excellent. Ammo is good.
