Rare Model 1918 Standard Equipment Company tripod included as well as an original belt loading machine in original box. This is one of the very few registered original specimens of this early U.S. tank machine gun. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent deep lustrous blue arsenal refinish with some areas starting to thin at high edges and at attachment points, as well as at the muzzle. Trigger and bolt are appropriately in the white. Extremely sought after Model 1918 tripod also extremely fine to near excellent. Original brass identification disk present with leather leg retention strap. Bore of gun is spectacular, shiny and bright. Bolt is near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a full-automatic only machine gun. Consignor states this is the only specimen of its kind available as a Curio and Relic eligible and fully transferable gun. Museum quality specimen. Perfect for an early armor collector or advanced early US machine gun collector. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
