The Flues Model single barrel trap was introduced in 1914. It underwent three design changes to the locking system. This gun is of the third variation. The "Victory" Model was introduced in 1919 at a price of $75.00, $50 below the price of the 4E and was not equipped with ejectors. This particular gun has a 34" barrel with slightly raised matted ventilated rib. Barrel flats are stamped with serial number which has "V" prefix. Case hardened action with flues type under bolt and third pattern crossbolt triple fastening, is engraved in "Victory" style with wiggle and line borders. Left side is stamped "ITHACA VICTORY GRADE" "ITHACA GUN CO" "ITHACA N Y U.S.A." A starburst is on trigger plate. Blued trigger guard has matching engraving on bow. Relatively plain American walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/2" over NOSHOC pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching reverse tapered beaver tail forend has push button release. CONDITION: Excellent, mostly original. Barrel retains approximately 90% of original blue with some light marks. Action retains 90-95% original case hardening color, thinned on top tang and silvered on high edges. There is some browning mostly on left side of action. Trigger guard retains approximately 90% original blue. Stocks retain most of their original finish, with some added oil and light marks. Newer pad is fine. Checkering is lightly worn. Bore is excellent. Action is tight.
