marked with “BSA” (Birmingham Small Arms) proof on top of receiver and bipod “R.B. MK I” (For Rifle Boys} on left side of receiver. Visible numbers matching on barrel, bolt, and receiver. Bipod is numbered . Original early British disk-type muzzle and bracket-feet bipod present. Includes one original 5 round magazine. The Boys Anti-tank rifles were issued to British, Canadian and U.S. forces in the early years of World War 2. They were effective against lightly armored vehicles, and punching through emplacement barriers. Highly accurate, one Veteran relayed to me he was able to put a round through the vision port of an enemy armored vehicle. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent original smooth dull blue finish with preservative grease, with bolt near excellent in the white with brown preservative grease. Bore and bolt in near excellent condition with a slight mark at bottom of chamber month where cartridge rim would rest. Wood cheek rest near excellent with a couple light handling marks. The aluminum hardware of the pistol grip and buttplate assembly are as they are supposed to appear. Both handgrips appear extremely fine with only a couple dings to the bottom of the pistol grip with otherwise light handling marks Rubber recoil pad remains supple and serviceable.
