This incredible lot has been consigned to Morphy Auctions from descendants of famed shooter and Parker Bros. gun salesman A.W. du Bray. It is a historical treasure trove of paper related to his shooting times and time as a salesman for the Parker Gun Works. Perhaps the most intriguing item in this lot is a listing of guns which du Bray had on hand or had sold, listed by serial number and configuration as well as who he had sold them to. This single piece of paper is a historical treasure to any serious Parker collector! The remainder of the lot is voluminous but consists of letters from Wilbur Parker to Mr. du Bray concerning his sales and employment with the Parker Gun works. There are items related to his shooting achievements, and even includes copies of his obituary. There are several fantastic historical photos in the lot including one from du Bray's later years which shows him as an elderly man. There are a number of newspaper clippings from his shooting times as well which detail some of his travels and his winnings. There are several postcards included in the grouping. CONDITION: Good to excellent. Interested parties should peruse this grouping as it is absolutely fantastic and loaded with intriguing history which many would consider priceless. Never before offered to the public!
