The helmet body is full form with distinctive "lobster tail" shape and retains all of its original Model 1872 brass hardware save for one plume base flower rosette, which is missing. The original yellow horsehair plume and braided gold cords on this helmet are in excellent condition. The 1872 front plate displays the applied number "7" and the helmet retains its Cavalry side buttons. CONDITION: The interior leather liner is an accurate replacement as is the visor trim.
