Contract gun manufactured for the Bulgarian Army by Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken Co. in Germany. Features include round barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, V notch rear sight on rear link. Thumb safety is marked in Cyrillic "FIRE" in the lower position, the extractor is also marked in Cyrillic "LOADED". Center toggle link has the Bulgarian crest. Approximately 10,000 of these were ordered in two orders. This gun came out of the second order. The distinguishing features on these guns are that the "DWM" is over the chamber, the Bulgarian crest is on the toggle link and the lanyard loop is at the bottom rear of the grip strap. CONDITION: Gun retains approximately 85% of the original factory applied finish with some high edge wear and holster wear. Grip straps are thinning. Grips are not numbered to the gun and show normal handling marks. Good bore showing some light frosting in the lands and grooves. Early nickel magazine does not match the gun. A rare and desirable Luger that would go great in any collection. Comes in a minty russet brown 1908 Bulgarian flap holster.
