Manufactured in 1923. Features include long frame, round pencil barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, V notch rear sight on rear toggle link, wide grip safety, walnut checkered grips, and eight round detachable box magazine. Manufactured by Waffenfabrik Bern for the Swiss military. Ejector is marked "GELADEN". Front toggle link marked "WAFFENFABRIK BERN". "P.56" marked on the left side of frame, so it was sold commercially in 1956. An all matching numbered gun. Distinctive Swiss style wood grips with a non-checkered boarder. CONDITION: Mirror bore with sharp lands and grooves. This was the first model of Luger made outside of Germany. Gun retains approximately 99% of the arsenal blue finish and 90% of the arsenal straw color on the small parts. Comes in a "EBIEDERMANN NEUCHATEL 34" holster with shoulder straps and extra magazine. Also comes with a leather pouch with grease tin and brass cleaning kit.
