Lot contains: (A) Indian shield of 16-1/2" diameter with seven bosses, four of which are gilded, two of which are chiseled steel. CONDITION: Shield retains its original leather straps and traces of period painted decoration, it shows its age with wear and patination. (B) The gorget of Germanic style is etched with scrolling foliage on a blackened ground with roped borders and brass rivets. CONDITION: The gorget is in good condition with crisp etching and an attractive look.
