26-5/8" Mono-bloc barrels fitted with matted ventilated rib are engraved "Perazzi Spa - MADE IN BRESCIA - ITALY" "12 GA 2 3/4" CHAMBER" (Gauge is an obvious mistake, this IS a twenty gauge) on left side of top barrel, and with importer "Perazzi USA Rome New York) on top right. Bottom of mono-bloc is stamped with serial number and 1981 Italian nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers. Coin finished, low profile Perazzi trigger plate action is fitted with single non-selective trigger, and is engraved in an attractive mix of near full coverage small scroll surrounding floral splashes. This intricate engraving is counterpoint to Bulino game scenes on sides and bottom, all of which portray game birds that have been shot; left side portrays a trio of chukar partridge in mountainous background. Rear member of the group has head thrown back and feathers flying. Right side depicts doves flying away over open field, rear two members of the flock taken by a "double". Rear member is falling from sky, next along the way has head thrown back. Two grouse in woodlands on bottom of action have rear member of the pair, also obviously hit. This engraving is very well rendered, but no engravers signature found. Nicely marbled stump/burl figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14" over checkered wood butt. Borderless point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching schnabeled thin field forend has Deeley type release. Gun comes in its original black ABS Perazzi embossed carrying case lined in blue suede. Case contains bags for barrels and action, stock removal tool, and embroidered Perazzi patch, as well as parts list. CONDITION: Excellent, appears little used, with only some minor handling and assembly marks on barrels. Coin finish of action is slightly yellowed, and only a few minor marks in original wood finish. Case is excellent, with some scuffs. Perazzi builds many target guns, field guns are seldom found. Perazzi SCO guns currently retail at over $30,000.00. MGM153.
