Manufactured 1931-1940. Often referred to as the Outdoorsman, this is a double action revolver built on the square butt K frame with five screw, six shot fluted cylinder, pinned barrel, and with recessed cylinder. No rib. Gun has matching serial numbers stamped on the inside right grip, back of cylinder, and on underside of barrel. These early pre-wars are considered some of the finest ever made. They feature the high polish factory blue finish, round frame, target rear sight, Patridge front sight, beautiful silver medallion diamond checkered walnut grips, case colored hammer with patent date on back, and case colored trigger. The fit and blue finish on these pre-wars is a trait that was never repeated after the war was over. CONDITION: This gun has been shot and was well taken care of. You will find wear along the sides of barrel from muzzle, which is turning silver on left and right sides, otherwise there is a hint of high edge wear on frame and edges. Still a good, solid 90% gun with nice case colors. Grips are near mint. Action like new with a near mint bore.
