This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/5/2019
Easily identifiable by its three groove barrel. The breech is stamped "NEW MODEL" of which only five letters are visible and the year cannot be read. Has the R.S. Lawrence 1859 rear sight graduated to 900 yards. Left side of barrel has "F" inspector stamp. Patent dates on left side are only partially visible due to the fact that all of these guns were refinished after conversion. Right side has completely visible Lawrence and Sharps patent information. The "DFC" David Clark inspector ribbon is clearly visible on left side of stock. CONDITION: Barrel has blue from breech to near band with balance basically brown patina. No visible case colors on frame or lever. Screws are basically straight with a little distortion. Wood is very good to excellent, proud to metal with some chipping near saddle bar plate and a few other minor bumps and bruises. Action and bore are fine. A far better than average condition, untouched Sharps conversion that was used in the Civil War and reissued for use out West during the Indian Wars. Classic Western Sharps carbine.
