Springfield Model 1903 bolt action rifle originally fitted for the Pederson Device and so marked as a Mk I. Gun was originally produced in 1919 and has a Springfield marked barrel dated 10-18 and marked with flaming bomb cartouche. Gun was rebuilt for World War II and and has some 03-A3 parts added such as stamped trigger guard and Smith-Corona bolt. Stock has re-arsenal markings and remnants of ordnance wheel cartouche and "FJA" stampings on left side of stock. 03-A3 style cross hatched pattern buttplate. 03-A3 style sights. CONDITION: Barrel retains 70% finish with an excellent bore. Action retains 70% finish with sharp markings. Stock is clean and finish is worn with scratches and usage marks. Cartouches are fading but visible.
