The debate will go on forever as to whether the Smith & Wesson Model 27, whose heritage dates to the pre-war Registered Magnums, or the Colt Python being the finest .357 Magnum revolver ever manufactured. There is no doubt that the 3-1/2" barrel in this model is the most desirable. It also features the pinned barrel and recessed chamber, fully checkered top strap, adjustable rear sight, ramp front sight, six shot, double action, fluted cylinder, blued finish, wide target case colored hammer and trigger, and rosewood silver medallion checkered grips. CONDITION: Cylinder has a drag line. Burn on face of cylinder but revolver still retains 98% original factory blue finish with brilliant case colors. Excellent grips. Fine bore and action. With no disrespect to the Python, the beefy N frame can take more punishment and out of the box, has one of the finest actions ever produced.
