This rifle started life as a 1919 Mk I cut Springfield 1903 receiver. It was rebuilt for World War II to include a High Standard November 44 barrel, swept-back bolt pencil-etched to serial number. World War II large disk sight knob, World War II scant stock, and later period grooved walnut forend. Still retains all the milled parts. CONDITION: Walnut stocks have numerous dings but still good. Barrel has the World War II parkerized finish. Frame is 95% of the original World War I type blue finish. TE reading: 4. ME reading: 2. Mechanically sound. Nice example of typical World War II arsenal rebuild.
