This NEW ZEALAND plate is a pre-1925 issue, and the number range indicates issue in about 1915. The "A" denotes issue in the capital city of Auckland. Cast frame with cast characters, all attached to a wire background grid. A very unusual construction, made to allow air to pass through the plate into the engine.
