Lot consists of: seven British Fairbairn Sykes Fighting knives is part of a lifetime collection. (A) 11-1/2" overall with a 6-3/4" blade. Ringed alloy handle with raised casting number four. This pattern has been attributed to William & Rodgers. Thick blade variation with milled flats at ricasso. Guard is Broad arrow inspected, marked England and "I". With leather scabbard marked England at top. CONDITION: Very good overall. (B) Ringed and beaded alloy handle with broad arrow number none inspection. Blade is full length and guard marked England. CONDITION: Very fine with leather scabbard marked England. (C) Ringed alloy handle pattern three with raised number three casting mark. Guard marked England. full length blade with slightly bent tip. This pattern is attributed to William & Rodgers. CONDITION: Very good. No scabbard. (D) Ringed alloy handle with raised casting number three and guard marked England. Full length blade. Leather scabbard without markings. CONDITION: Good overall. (E) Ringed alloy handle with raised number one casting number and England marked guard. Full length blade with period rough sharpening. CONDITION: Good overall. (F) Ringed handle with raised number three casting number. Broad arrow inspected guard with England and "!". CONDITION: Exceptionally fine full length thick blade with flat ricassos. (G) Ringed alloy handle with raised number four casting mark. Guard is marked England with broad arrow and "B2" blade is lightly period pitted with a dulled tip. Has a great honest appearance. Has leather scabbard with "KNAPP" etched into front. CONDITION: Good overall. (H) P-2 Pattern with checkered alloy handle. CONDITION: Early style F&S knife that obviously saw extended service. Heavily pitted guard but broad arrow and England marking is legible. Blade is very pitted thick pattern with extensive pitting and crude period sharpening. Leather Scabbard is intact and supple. These seven knives are a great collection of the most famous fighting knife ever developed. Truly a rare offering. TDW
