(1883) Damascus barrels, with vestiges of engraving on game rib, are 30" long. Barrel flats are stamped with 2010 London nitro re-proofs for 2-3/4" chambers. Round bodied Jones under lever action is fitted with non-rebounding peninsula back spring locks with short serpentine hammers. Action and locks are engraved with 50% coverage nicely cut shaded scroll. "Holland & Holland" is on each lockplate. Stump figured and nicely marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/8" over 5/8" thick checkered hard rubber buttplate. Point pattern checkering is at grip. A vacant silver oval is on toe line. Matching splinter forend with fancy steel tip has spring tension release. CONDITION: Good, as mostly refinished. Barrels retain essentially all of a very fine re-brown with excellent definition to pattern. Other metal parts are mostly grey to brown patina, with some striations showing in action bar. Stocks retain nearly all of an old oil refinish, checkering lightly re-cut. Bores are very fine with some scattered light pits, and are quite dirty. Action is very slightly loose, barrels are off face. Locks are excellent. MGM25.
