CONDITION: This 2nd Series Manhattan "Navy" has a smooth brown barrel with little wear on the flats but no original finish except some underneath the loading lever. Cylinder with fine decorative roll engraved scenes of ships in panels is mostly smooth brown patina. Case hardening on frame has nickeled out and is now mostly brown. Backstrap and trigger guard have no original silver but are smooth brass. Grips are good but appear to have a coat of added varnish with some missing at butt. Action is crisp. Bore has strong rifling with some pitting. An above average example of this Civil War era revolver in the desirable 6-1/2" barrel length.
