Lot contains: (A) Third Reich Police NCO Degen, (B) Heer "Wrangel" Pattern Dove Head Sword, and (C) Third Reich Police Dress Bayonet. (A) The 31-1/2" steel blade of the Police Officer's Degen is in overall excellent condition. The blade is maker marked for the firm of "F.W. Holler". The blade exhibits an overall dull grey appearance, and is without any damage to the cutting edge. The Degen's hand guard and pommel cap are constructed of a silver plated steel which exhibits a nice even patina. The pommel nut is of the earlier step type used by Holler. The wire bound, black ebony grip is in overall excellent condition. A brass based police emblem is skillfully, and originally, inset into the grip. The black painted steel scabbard is in overall excellent condition. A few small scattered light marks are observed on the reverse of the scabbard, which show through to the base metal. The silver plated steel drag and scabbard throat are in overall excellent condition. The patina and aging of the scabbards fittings match that of the blades fittings. It is likely that this is an untouched example. CONDITION: Overall excellent. (B) The Third Reich Era Dove Head Sword is produced by the firm of "Carl Eickhorn". The pattern of this sword is known as a "Wrangel", which belongs to the "Field Marshall Series" put out by the Carl Eickhorn firm during the era. The nickel plated steel blade of the sword measures 31-3/4" in length and is in overall near mint condition. The hand and cross guard of the sword are made of a fire gilded brass with beautiful motifs as accents. The wire bound black trylon grip is in overall near mint condition. The black painted steel scabbard is in excellent condition with areas of light pattered marks predominately near the scabbards drag. CONDITION: Overall near mint. (C) The Firemans Dress Bayonet has a nickel plated steel blade which is in overall near mint + condition. The blade is maker marked for the firm of "Carl Eickhorn". The leather blade buffer has a split on one end, but is still intact. The nickle plated hilt and guard are in near mint condition. The riveted grip plates are made of a black bakelite, and are in near mint condition. The black painted steel scabbard is in near mint + condition. The bayonet is complete with a leather frog, which is in overall very good condition showing areas of wear and slight cracking of the leather. CONDITION: Overall near mint.
