This United States .22 caliber Kimber training rifle, referred to as the Model 82 Government, comes with its original Department of the Army Rock Island Arsenal shipping box with registration numbers, original recipient, etc. Original plastic liner bag is present, including instructions and bag full of small parts. Rifle consists of a 25" heavy round barrel sans sights, factory installed scope blocks. Left side of frame stamped "US". Bolt action. Single shot. Has a walnut target stock with entire forend underrailed. Black accelerator pad, pistol grip. Gun appears to be basically unfired as new with the exception of wood grain opening in two places on left side. Nothing serious and could easily be repaired. Manufactured at the old Kimber plant in Oregon. Military marked firearms continue to climb in value at a rate nearly unsurpassed by any other current collectible. This should prove to be a great investment if left new but is also a phenomenal shooter.
