The Mills Novelty Company manufactured this floor model slot machine in 1898. The oak cabinet features recessed panels, appliques, and a stunning cast iron relief of an owl standing on a quill with a stippled background. An older restoration with correct composite carvings, a bead-blasted mechanism, and a replacement handle. The lithographed playing wheel is in beautiful, original condition behind glass. All of the detailed metal accents are cast iron with a copper finish, including the 5-way coin head that can accept up to five nickels at a time. The back has some scrapes and the cabinet top has a 1" hole behind the coin head where the pay tube could be refilled without opening the machine. A beautiful example overall. Two keys are included.
Condition: (Very Good).
Item Dimensions: 17"L x 27"W x 66"T.
