Made in 1985, this dainty and classy .410 gauge was made with demi-bloc barrels and features a low profile narrow tapered filed top rib with steel front bead. The rear lug features makers names of Mario, Poli, Remo, and Tony. The demi-bloc barrel flats with serial number, proof marks, and makers stamp of "A&S". Top of left tube inlaid in gold "Abbiatico & Salvinelli". The small forend is uncheckered and has a three dimensional makers crest at center and engraved and gold inlaid external iron. Gun made with auto-ejectors, non-selective single trigger, and non-auto safety. The beautifully figured European stump walnut is richly colored. The straight grip buttstock is also uncheckered and terminates in a nicely checkered butt - this uncheckered treatment gives the gun a very clean look and accentuates the overall quality of the wood grain. The action is near full coverage engraved with very tightly engraved scroll with fine gold accents. The fine scroll with gold accents continue on to the long tang rolled edge trigger guard and the top of the action as well as the top lever. Gold inlaid "30" found under top lever. Bottom sides of the action are gold inlaid "Abbiatico and Salvinelli". The engravers signature "G. Sabatti, Inc." is found on trigger plate near front of trigger guard bow. The gun is housed in its original Nizzoli brand brown leather case with red velvet interior. CONDITION: Gun remains in near mint, likely test fired only, condition. Our consignor purchased the gun new and has not fired it. Bores are brilliant and shiny, mechanics are crisp except that the top lever will not stay open when gun is opened. There are only the most minute of handling marks observed throughout with the most minute loss at bottom left stock finger, likely the gun was finished this way. The case is in excellent original condition with only minor scraps and soiling. This gun is a stunning work of art!
