Made with Krupp Fluid steel barrels, this gun has a matted, tapered, concave rib with brass front bead Rib marked "J.P. SAUER & SON." on top of the barrels, "FLUID-STEEL KRUPP-ESSEN" across the breech, and "PRUSSIA" on the water table with proof marks. The sparsely engraved action is case colored and marked "MADE IN PRUSSIA" on the water table. Made with double triggers, extractors, and auto-safety. Long splinter forend with Deeley release is checkered with two panels on sides and schnabel tip. Round knob pistol grip buttstock is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist and terminates with a lined horn buttplate which has engraved screws. CONDITION: Very good, and appears original and mostly untouched. Original blue finish rates about 75% with toning and handling marks. Case colors around better than 50%, particularly nice on sides, with fading on the bottom and top. Stocks are sound with scattered hunting bumps and scratches. Bores are good with minor orange peel. Mechanics are good.
