25 - 1/4" half round, half octagon barrel is fitted with full length integral matted rib engraved with makers name and address in milled out portion at rear. An enameled flip-over rear sight is dovetailed through, and a silver bead front has flip-up night bead installed in front. Barrel flats are stamped with German black powder proofs. A sling loop is soldered to bottom of barrel. Action with front pivoting Jones under lever is fitted with peninsula back spring lock with serpentine round bodied rebounding hammer. A flip-up windage and elevation adjustable lolly-pop type sight is fitted to top tang. Action has double set triggers. Action is engraved with sprays of scroll. Lightly streaked European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 13 - 1/8" over steel buttplate. Captive forend has a schnabeled tip and sliding bolt fastener through oval silver escutcheons. Weight: 5 lbs 1 oz. CONDITION: Good, mostly original as found. Barrel retains 20-30% blue, action mostly cleaned to bright polish with some flecking. Stocks have most of their original oil finish under some added oil, checkering nicely re-cut. Bore is good, strong rifling, pitted throughout. Action is tight. Lock is good. Trigger will not set.
