Made in 1926 this GH Grade is an interesting gun with a presentation plaque in the right side of the stock. Built on a 1-1/2 frame, the gun has 28 inch Parker Special Steel matted concave rib with small brass front bead. The gun was built with double triggers, extractors, and auto-safety. Splinter forend is checkered in standard pattern with Deeley release. The gun is engraved in standard G grade pattern with pheasants, ducks, and small bursts of floral scroll. Capped pistol grip buttstock with Parker Brothers hard rubber grip cap, blank initial shield near toe, and terminates in a replacement Parker Bros. dogs head buttplate. The right side of the buttstock has an inset silver plaque inscribed "RUSSELL WALDO ANDERSON-FROM-CHURCHILLS LANDING COMMUNITY-FOR RESCUE FROMDROWNING-OF-RODERICK HEMAN McGEE-AUGUST-9-1926". CONDITION: Very good as partially refinished. Buttstock and forearm have been restored and retain most of that finish. Barrels and trigger guard have been reblued long ago and have started to tone. Displaying mild surface pitting throughout under the blue, light handling marks, and traces of edge wear at the breech. The receiver has a cleaned silver-gray patina with no original color remaining. The refinished wood is very good with minor handling marks, well-defined checkering, and some small dings. The buttplate is a replacement and the widow's peak on top is a replace piece of what appears to be gutta percha. Bores are good with some minor orange peel. An interesting Parker which should be further researched!
