A fantastic recreation of the Submarine Lung Tester, originally produced by Mills Novelty Company in 1904. Due to fear of Tuberculosis in the early part of the 20th Century, all lung test machines were outlawed and the majority were destroyed, leaving little trace of their popularity behind. With no original examples known to exist, John Papa of the National Jukebox Exchange and Arcade Treasures, created this beauty from advertisement and catalog renderings in 2004. Only 12 were made! An elaborate and striking game in which the objective is to blow into the mouthpiece attached to the rubber hose and raise all the divers to the top of the water filled tank. The quartersawn oak cabinet is finished in green, appearing like algae. The cast iron components are nicely polished in silver and the fish and alligator corner embellishments are gold. This is a fun game, a display of excellent craftsmanship and a rare find to add into your coin-op collection. Includes keys and a copy of Michael Papa's book "No Tampering! - A Guide To Papa's Re-creations."
Condition: (Excellent).
