An exceptional John Papa recreation of a machine originally offered by Caille Bros. in 1907, this example is marked 6 of 12. A tribute to America's entry into the Olympic Games both in name and design showing Greek-inspired decoration to the cabinet. The housing of this strength tester is wood, painted red with gold pinstripe detailing throughout. The tall floor model cabinet is attached to a heavy and ornate cast iron base which prevents it from tipping over. Featured at the center is a life-size figural man with one arm extended and bent at the elbow, also composed of cast iron. The marquee is attached to a dial which measures the strength of the patron from 0 to 600. Includes keys and a copy of Michael Papa's book "No Tampering! - A Guide To Papa's Re-creations."
