Classically proportioned 12 gauge with 2-3/4" chambers. 27-1/2" dovetailed barrels with slightly raised matted game rib are engraved “A. Francotte Maker & Patentee” and “Abercrombie & Fitch” “Made in Belgium” on tops. Barrel flats and bottoms of barrels are stamped with Belgian nitro proofs, steel type, and engraved with chokes “.693" and ".718". Case hardened sideplated boxlock action features automatic safety, hidden crossbolt third fastener, side clips, and double triggers. Action and sideplates are engraved with 80% coverage scroll. Scroll engraved and blued trigger guard has serial number on tang. Lightly marbled and figured European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/2" over broadly checkered horn buttplate. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Bore diameter: left -.726, right – .724. Bore restrictions: left – .030 (full), right – .010 (IC). Wall thickness: left – .032, right – .032. Drop at heel: 2-7/16", drop at comb: 1-1/2". Cast: neutral. Weight: 6 lbs. 7 oz. Length of pull: 14-1/2”. CONDITION: Good with slight bulge in left barrel 1- 1/2 inch from muzzle. Barrels retain over 95% blue, with scattered light scratches and some rust flecks. Action retains approx 90% original case hardening color, thinning on fences, beginning to silver on bottom from normal carrying. Sideplates retain nearly all of their original color. Stocks retain nearly all of their original finish, with scattered scratches and marks. Bores are excellent with exception of left barrel bulge at muzzle as previously discussed.
