Features round barrel with military post front sight and Lawrence 1859 ladder rear sight. Barrel is stamped "SHARPS RIFLE MANUFG CO HARTFORD" and has three barrel bands. Left side of stock has two cartouche stamps, both legible but not readable. Features single trigger, full length walnut hand guard, walnut buttstock with carbine butt, sling swivels, and steel buttplate. CONDITION: Handsome stock with usual minor dings. Fine action and strong, rifled bore. Fine, early Civil War US rifle in excellent all original condition.
